New Active Directory Features
- Can query AD for mailbox resources from both Exchange configuration data and AD users
- Can assign an AD user as the owner of a mailbox or PST file
- Can query AD for store group construction based on the users mailboxes or the new ownership feature
- Can query AD during rule processing using keywords identified by the mailbox being processed or by the assigned owner of the store
Other Improvements and New Features
- You can now store 'Custom Values' for each of your mailboxes, PST and public folders. These values can be assigned through the console or as actions of a rule.
- Both the console and the service now try to automatically determine which date format to be used when accessing the MAE database. This eliminates erroneous dates in the database from many of our international customers.
- A Mailboxes' or PST's size settings are now automatically updated in the console after each rule execution
- General improvements and refinements to improve processing performance

Console Improvements
- The console has a fresh new look while still keeping to its original feel
- The console offers a proactive error alert notification mechanism to let a user know when an error has occurred that would normally just be quietly logged
- Many of the items in the console can now be cut and pasted and dragged and dropped
- You can edit, add and remove 'Custom Values' for all of your Mailboxes, PST and Public

New Conditions
- There new conditions that allow you to check the value of an 'Custom Value' during rule processing
- You can now check the quota limit as a percentage for mailboxes
- The test keyword conditions contain several new tests to perform relative operations such as > and < for numbers, dates and ages
- Message categories can now be tested
- The NOT option behaviour in address and attachment name conditions has changed. If you add multiple NOT entries, they are tested and all must not match rather then just one
New Actions
- You can add, set, delete, increment and decrement you 'Custom Values' using new actions
- You can now synchronize the contents of folders either within the same store or between stores
- You can now add and remove message categories
- Copy and move to PST files actions now offer both close between copies options and the size limit before creating a new file
- There is a now an action that allows you to stop the execution of a rule so it does not need to scan the rest of the store contents.

New features in version 3.5
Store Group Exceptions
The admin can create custom groups much like the current version, however v3.5 will allow "exceptions" to be added to the group.
Rule History
The console keeps every version of a rule in the database. The admin will be able to go back to an earlier version of a rule to compare the changes of a rule over time and allow them to track what has changed and by whom.
Import/Export Rules
The admin can import and export rules. They can also import rules from earlier versions of MA (3.x and 2.13)
Configure Number of Processes
The admin can now change the number of mailboxes and PST files being processed at the same time.
Double Click to Open a Message
The user can double click on a message in a list report to open it.
Architecture Improvements
The "worker service" will now have a console and be able to "stand-alone" without the need of the "master service", which decreases the Mail Attender’s upgrade/installation size and time.
.NET Console (similar to an MMC snap-in) for the Master Service
Will provide the admin’s with the ability to pull information directly from Outlook or Exchange. The new console will allow admin’s to browse and simply select the entry or entries directly from their address book and have the information import directly.
Graphical Reporting
The statistics summary screen will have graphical reporting, allowing a visual representation of the contents the information stores.
Automated PST File Compacting after a Rule has Finished Processing
The admin’s can set up the rule to have the PST file automatically compacted after the rule is finished processing the PST file.
Dumpster Processing
Rules can be applied to the dumpster.
