Key Features
Archive Attender for Microsoft Exchange is storage management and email archiving software designed for companies who are looking to secure specific information for designated periods of time. Enforce document retention and email retention policies on archived data to remove archived data once it has expired or is no longer needed. - Manage storage limitations on the Exchange Server
- Manage compliance requirements by enabling journaling on Exchange and using Archive Attender to archive messages from the journaling mailbox
- Archive messages and attachments to an external storage device from Exchange mailboxes and network-accessible PST files
- Optionally replace the original message with a stub which contains a link, to give users immediate access to the archived message
- Archive attachments only leaving the rest of the message intact in the user’s mailbox
- All content stored in the archive is indexed and used when searching for and recovering messages
- Schedule archiving to be performed based on age, location and size of the messages
- In conjunction with Mail Attender for Exchange Enterprise, archive messages and attachments based on keywords, types of attachments, content and other criteria available in MAEE
- Manage archives by enforcing retention policies to delete or move archived messages to secondary storage
- Configuration and management is provided through an application interface to setup the archiving schedule, view archiving reports, search the archives and enforce retention policies
- Single-instancing of messages and attachments across users’ archive stores
- Administrators can search and copy messages from the archive into a mailbox or into a PST file
- Control the level of access to the archive provided to each user including the ability to search and restore messages
- Control whether messages restored from the archive should be moved or copied back into the user’s mailbox
- Requires nothing to be installed on the Exchange server or on users’ computers
User Features

- Search archived messages based on sender, received date, keywords, attachments and location from a separate folder from within the Outlook interface

- Windows 2000 or higher
- Microsoft Internet Information Server 5.0 or higher
- Approximately 35MB for the Archive Attender console application
- .Net framework version 1.1 (installed by Archive Attender if not present)

- Does not require installation of any component on the Exchange server
- Can archive from Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2010
- Compatible with Outlook 98 and higher
